Thoughts on Kindness
Kindness is often quiet, in almost fleeting moments; someone holding the door a little longer, sharing an umbrella with a stranger in the rain...these gestures, seemingly simple, have a way of lingering.
Eden’s Ground allowed us the privilege to experience kindness in the everyday moments. It’s in the choices we make without thinking too much about them. Yet, I think about the times I’ve been on the receiving end, and how those small moments have stayed with me.
A kind word when I was doubting myself. The friend who, without asking, helped especially when I didn’t even realise I needed it. The sweet customer who left a message, not just about flowers, but about how they made someone feel.
These gestures reminds us that kindness isn’t about grand acts, it’s about intention, about making someone’s day a little lighter, a little brighter.
Kindness is one of the few things in life that costs nothing, yet its value is immeasurable. Today marks Random Acts of Kindness Day in Singapore, a reminder that even the smallest act of goodwill can leave a deep impact.
Here's a note to self: kindness doesn’t have to be planned or perfect, and It’s free. A gentle reminder to be kind to others, and to yourself. <3
